Rock Scaling

Rock scaling is usually the first approach to any slope work and it may be all that is needed to make a slope safe. Highly trained rock remediation technicians should be used; especially when working near highways or railways.

• The rock slope should always be scaled from the top down.
• Working off of ropes is the safest and most efficient way of working on a rock slope.
• Ropes enable the rock remediation technician to move freely around the slope; assuring that he is always in a safe position.
